1. Is there a free downloadable Audio Tour App available?

Yes there is. The app is available from our website to download at https://deltasensorygardens.ie/   

Our recent audio tour app in an integral part of the customer experience which offers narrated inside information about the gardens.     

The app adds to the interest for all our visitors and especially those with a visual impairment.

2. Do you need to make a booking in advance to see the gardens?

No, not unless you are a large group of 10 or more people.

3. What are the options for eating and what is the food offering?

Café Thyme attached to the gardens is a 50+ seater restaurant catering for groups of all sizes. The Café provides an accessible and welcoming environment to people with disabilities. The Café Thyme serves breakfast Monday to Friday and our very extensive and ever-changing healthy tasty and unique lunch menu is served 7 days a week. Daily we produce fresh and deliciously different flavoured scones and breads to eat in or take away, not forgetting our sweet treats to enjoy with our popular coffee.

4. How long does it take to do a tour of the gardens?

It takes approximately 1 hour to do a tour of the gardens.

5. Are dogs allowed?

Guide dogs are only allowed.

6. Is there free car parking?

Yes, there is a large free car park.

7. Is there a garden centre?

Yes there is a small Specialist Garden Centre which offers hanging baskets, pots and containers, bedding plants, perennial shrubs, and bulbs. We offer shrubs that are native to the Sensory Gardens.

8. Is there a facility to get pots filled up in the Garden Centre?

Yes, there is a service for filling pots and baskets.

9.. Are gift cards available?

Yes, there are gift cards available for the Café, the gifts area and for the garden centre.

10. Are there any Disability Toilets?

Yes, there are.

11. Are there any Baby Changing Facilities?

Yes, there are.

12. Are there any events happening during the day

Yes, at Christmas we have a fabulous lighting display. We also have a Sensory Santa especially for people with sensory issues. We run events at Halloween and Easter year on year. 13. Is there a gift shop?

Local Arts and Crafts are available to buy in the café. By doing this we are supporting and providing an ideal outlet for Local Crafters in the Carlow area. With the keen interest from the Crafters, we are rotating their displays on a three-monthly basis.

14. Are there any bakery products available for sale in the cafe

Yes we hope you enjoyed stay at Café Thyme, the following products are available to purchase and take home.
