Samhain Delta Sensory Gardens
Over the Samhain Festival, Barnstorm Theatre Company is collaborating with Delta Sensory Gardens to create a family-friendly spooktacular atmospheric experience in the Gardens. Inspired by the gardens, the veil of Samhain will be lifted to reveal a host of ghostly characters wandering the gardens, each with their own story to thrill and delight visitors.
Outline
Actors will create a series of characters, each connected with their particular garden, which they will share with visitors. There will be spirits, pucas, banshees, and sidhe, all mythical spirits and creatures associated with Samhain. The level of interaction will vary depending on visitor preference. The content will be suitable for all ages and adaptable for those who may need a ‘relaxed’ or sensory-friendly environment. Each performance is connected and will be individual enough that they can be enjoyed as standalone pieces, so they don’t need to be seen in a particular order.
